LifeStone Lobby Full Size Cut Out

LifeStone Ministries

Summary

Designing a full size cut out of our founder and our current President to connect our ministry's past to our future.

Introduction

LifeStone Ministries, a discipleship organization with a 125-year legacy, has impacted countless Christians over the decades. Our lobby serves as the central hub for transactions and customer interactions. To go along with our lobby redesign, we thought it would be a fun idea to add a a full size cut out of our founder to stand in front of the building where the ministry flourished.

Research and Insights

The idea was fun, but the original photos we had of our founder were of very poor quality.  I scanned a 4" photo of him at 4800 ppi, restored the photo and added updated imagery for clarity.  This took over a week to fix every detail of the photo since it was going to be enlarged to full size.  To add a bit of fun, I combined The picture of the founder with an image of our current president. This striking visual representation highlights the enduring legacy of our work over the last 125 years.

A Personal Touch

Since no one smiled in any of the old ministry photographs, we thought it would be odd to show our founder with such a serious look on his face. I added a smile for a more approachable appearance.

Results

The lobby transformation was a collaborative effort, requiring significant time and dedication. The outcome exceeded expectations, capturing the essence of our history and mission. Visitors have praised the design, expressing appreciation for the inviting atmosphere and the opportunity to explore LifeStone’s inspiring story.
