At Calvary Chapel, we encourage the body of Christ to meet together regularly with other believers. This fellowship is vital to spiritual growth. That is why we have created the Grill and Missions Café. This is a family friendly area where you can sit, talk, learn and eat with family or other members of the body. If you are looking to start long-lasting relationships, there is no better way to know the church body than serving them.
When it comes to our food selections, The Grill offers many different hot and cold meals to choose from.
Who We Are
At The Grille and Missions Café, we serve food and we fellowship as volunteers. Many lasting friendships have developed from being servants to the body through The Grille and Missions Café. There are 36 volunteers who have been helping from the beginning and 12 more that have been part of the team for over a year. Find out about opportunities to volunteer and become part of the team as we “serve the servants”.
What We Do
- Cooking, preparing and serving the fellowship.
- Keeping the facility clean and inviting, providing a place to bring friends and relatives for food and fellowship.
- Providing a place for the people to feel comfortable and relaxed in the company of other Christians.
- Providing opportunities for volunteers to serve others, just as Jesus did.
When We Serve
- Serving lunch to staff, worshipers and friends from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday-Friday.
- Serving dinner before and after services on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Serving lunch after second service on Sundays.
- Serving breakfast before first and second services on Sundays, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The Rewards
When you serve at The Grille and Missions Café, you are getting more than physical rewards on earth, you are storing up rewards for yourself in Heaven. The Lord has clearly shown us that when we give and serve with our hearts, He will bless us abundantly:
Matthew 10:42 - “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.”
Matthew 16:27 - “For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.”
Matthew 20:28 - “...just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Luke 12:37 - “It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.”
1 Corinthians 3:8 - “The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.”
1 Corinthians 3:12-14 - “If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.”
Ephesians 6:7-8 - “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.”
Colossians 3:23-24 - “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Revelation 22:12 - “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.”
