My name is Lynda Thomas-Zoellner and although I am not a professional writer, God directed me to write the book, “Surviving a Nation in Crisis.” My hope is that God can work through me and help you where you are right now. Hopefully, through this biography, you can get to know me and feel comfortable following what God has shown me. My life has had a lot of ups and downs in the last 20 years, and many times I did not know what direction to go in, but God gave me a guide book, the “Holy Bible,” to live by for guidance to become a child of His and spend eternity in heaven with Him. The Bible has always been my guide and I am most thankful to my dad for that. At an early age, he introduced me to my Heavenly Father, our God. Every Sunday morning he made sure my mother had my siblings and I ready for Sunday school and church. I will never forget those Sunday mornings. At the time, I was not sure why it was so important. As I grew older and started having the everyday normal problems we encounter in our lives, I realized even though I had an earthly father, my Heavenly Father who created me, was the one I was to go to for life’s answers. In 1962, I married and had my only child, Stacy. After a few years, I decided that I needed more in my life, so I decided to start a new career. I chose the real estate profession in the late 60’s. My husband was not happy with my career working evenings, weekends and 60 hours a week, our marriage ended. After our marriage ended I found the women’s liberation movement and became very independent. I remarried in 1975 and opened my own real estate business and planned on slowing down and have another child. August, 1976, I had heard about the Christian born again movement that was spreading across the United States. I felt I needed a closer walk with God and I began to pray and I ask him to come into my life and have a more spiritual walk with him guiding and directing me for the rest of my life. I felt a strong presence of God like I had never felt before. God spoke to me through my heart and that my real estate business was to become very successful and I was to use my income to bring others to him. After that night, within a year God blessed my husband and I with five real estate offices and eighty sales associates. We became a Christian real estate business and I opened a Christian bookstores in two of my offices. God called me to speak and counsel divorced women. I felt his call again to go to Winter Haven, Florida to build a Christian retreat. God does work in mysterious ways. I found peace in my life, even with the ups and downs that we will always have while living on the earth. God created a beautiful world for you and I, but it is not heaven on earth! If it was, we would have no future to look forward to. Spending eternity with our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. God has given us life but only to have eternal life in heaven with him. Even though our lives might not be always perfect, he can use you in many ways to reach others in your life. He called me to write “Surviving a Nation in Crisis” a few months ago even though I am not a professional writer. I felt his call to write this book to help others become aware that our time may be short on this earth and what we are accustomed to. We need to pray and prepare our hearts and souls to become sensitive to God’s Spirit within us. God wants us to especially work in our lives to bring others to him before our time is up on his earth. Nothing makes me happier today, than sharing Jesus Christ as our savior to my friends and family. Inviting them to church and bible studies they know they can come to me with their fears, depressions, divorce, and diseases. The world wants to take away our peace and happiness that God’s promises in this world of deception and hurt.
